MOm relies on the essential help of its volunteers. Nothing of what MOm has achieved in the past 25 years would have been achieved without the time and effort dedicated by its volunteers.

How can I help as a volunteer
• Public Awareness and Sensitization Program
The Summer Volunteer Public Awareness and Sensitization program of MOm is carried every year at the Information Center of MOm at Patitiri at the island of Alonissos at the Northern Sporades Islands. Each volunteer position with the program lasts for two weeks and the volunteers:
• Inform the visitors of the Information Center of MOm on the endangered status and the threats to the Mediterranean monk seal and the marine environment and of ways to contribute to their conservation.
• Help promote the souvenirs of MOm.
• Attract new members to the family of MOm.
• Make holidays at one of Greece’s most ecologically important areas!
The participants in the Public Awareness and Sensitization Program must speak the Greek language. If so, to apply, fill out the form at the end of this page.
• Monk Seal Rehabilitation and Reintroduction Program
The Rehabilitation and Reintroduction Program is carried out at the Monk Seal Rehabilitation and Reintroduction Center of MOm at the island of Alonissos at the Northern Sporades Islands, whenever an injured, sick or orphan seal pup is found. • Rescue and Information Program
If you are a resident of a coastal area or of an island in Greece and would like to help in the case of a seal emergency in your area, contact MOm by phone at 210 5222888 or by email at support@mom.gr, give us your contact details and we will get in touch with you when the opportunity arises.
• Environmental Education Program
